Context = Judgement day
1 John 4:16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in Him. 17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as He is so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 19 We love because He first loved us.
God’s perfect 1st Corinthians 13 kind of love toward us through Jesus’ life removes the fear of condemnation on judgement day when we stand before the great white throne.
We won’t be proven guilty in any way, past, present, or future in Christ.
Going even farther, on the final day of judgement we won’t be proven at fault for one sin we ever committed and in Christ we will be proven innocent, holy, hallowed, and righteous to the highest degree only through the bloody mess that Jesus became on our behalf.

1 Timothy 1:12 – I thank Him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because He judged me faithful, appointing me to His service, 13 though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief 14 and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
