The reason why the topic of predestination has been seemingly so mysterious is because we haven’t engaged this topic through the lens of Jesus The Bridegroom.
โWhen two lovers meet and fall in love for the first time, sentences like these will arise out of both of their hearts: “We were destined to be together”, and “We were always meant for each other”.
And so it is no different with our Beloved Lord Jesus. He is affectionately telling His Bride, “We were always meant to be.”
“Like a river flows, surely to the sea, darling so it goes, some things are meant to be.”
Ephesians 1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will, 6 to the praise of His glorious grace, with which He has blessed us in the Beloved.
Notice how the words “In love” and “predestined” are right next to each other, and the reason why, is because only through the love of our Bridegroom is the understanding of predestination clearly understood.
