Genesis 1:28 – And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
The words ‘subdue’ and ‘dominion’ both mean: to rule, dominate, bring into bondage, and have authority over.
Matthew 27:2 – And they bound Him and led Him away and delivered Him over to Pilate the governor.
Jesus was treated like an animal that creeps on the earth; one in which men have dominion over.
Proverbs 26:3 – A whip is for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, And a rod for the back of fools.
John 19:1 – Then Pilate took Jesus and flogged Him.
John 19:11 – Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over Me at all unless it had been given you from above.”
