The Floating Axe Head

2 Kings 6:4 – They went to the Jordan and began to cut down trees. 5 As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axe head fell into the water. “Oh no, my lord!” he cried out. “It was borrowed!” 6 The man of God asked, “Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and made the iron float. 7 “Lift it out,” he said. Then the man reached out his hand and took it

Because the borrowed axe head went missing, the man was now bound by law to pay back the debt for what he lost. It was impossible, by the law of physics, to have the original item restored back, but a prophet used wood from a tree in order to transcend the active law, restore that which was lost from the beginning, and settle his debt in full for free.

Colossians 2:14 – by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This He set aside, nailing it to the cross.

Therefore, we only have need to reach out to Jesus, The Law-Transcending God.
