Luke 12:58 – “As you go with your accuser before the magistrate, make an effort to settle with him on the way, lest he drag you to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the officer, and the officer put you in prison. 59 I tell you, you will never get out until you have paid the very last penny.”
Jesus went with His accusers and did not make an effort to settle accounts with them. Instead, He remained silent before Pilate, His ‘judge’, who handed Him over to the officers, upholders, and keepers of the law, who then imprisoned Him in a guarded tomb until the full sin debt of the world was paid down to the very last cent. Jesus got out 3 days later.
John 18:12 – So the band of soldiers and their captain and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him.
