Jesus in 2 Samuel 4

2 Samuel 4 = Jesus > ishbosheth

Ishbosheth’s name = righteous man of shame

  • Ishbosheth was righteous and innocent when the wicked leaders conspired against him and killed him. His blood ADDED to the weight of their sins. Then he was taken and laid in a tomb. When ishbosheth dies it’s bad news (verse 10).
  • Jesus was righteous and innocent when the wicked leaders conspired against Him and killed Him. His blood REMOVED the weight of their sins. Then He was taken and laid in a tomb. When Jesus dies it’s good news!
