Matthew 10:40 – “Whoever receives you receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”
If you receive the Son of God, you receive the Father as well. Jesus is our legitimate double portion and multiplied inheritance. And so it is when you accept the whole Person of Jesus, you receive the fullness of God.
Colossians 2:9 – For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.
Think about the disciples relaxing and enjoying Jesus around the campfire at night in Galilee. In front of them is the entirety and completeness of Yahweh. There’s no need to look elsewhere; Jesus is the absolute totality of God.
1 John 2:23 – No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.
Psalm 16:5 – The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup.
